| Valerie Miller joined New England Environmental, Inc.(NEE) as a Senior Environmental Scientist in 2005. She is a Licensed Site Professional with a BS in Environmental Science and MS in Water Resources. Ms. Miller has seventeen years of multi-disciplinary environmental experience managing and directing projects throughout New England. She is also experienced in conducting wetland identifications and delineation, use of Federal wetland assessment techniques and wetland functional values, erosion assessment and control, wildlife habitat evaluations, wildlife surveys, and vernal pool identification. Ms. Miller has also prepared all environmental permit applications for large infrastructure projects developed by architectural and engineering firms, as well as smaller projects for local residences and businesses. She has secured permits under the guidelines of the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and Rivers Protection Act, Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Her permitting experience has also included Commonwealth of Massachusetts 401 Water Quality Certification, Chapter 91, EPA Construction General Permits (SWPPP), and applications to the Army Corp of Engineers (Programmatic General Permit).
As a Licensed Site Professional, Ms. Miller is also experienced in managing and performing work associated with hazardous waste assessment and remediation. Her hazardous waste experience includes managing and directing all aspects of individual and team projects, including field operations, to evaluate the nature and extent of contamination in various environmental media. |
