New England Environmental, Inc.(NEE) is a full-service natural resources consulting
firm with extensive in-house expertise in environmental assessment, restoration,
and management. NEE has managed natural resources and provided consulting
services relative to the regulatory context surrounding them for over a decade.
We offer a diverse range of services, including environmental site assessment,
resource identification, planning, permitting, mitigation, restoration, remediation,
bioengineering, and monitoring.
NEE employs scientists with an array of expertise, interests and experience,
including wetland science, geology, hydrogeology, soil
and groundwater remediation, bioengineering, soil
science, botany, forestry, wildlife biology, fisheries biology, limnology,
and coastal and terrestrial ecology,. These interests are well expressed
in the professional fields addressed by NEE, and provides the impetus to perform
tasks with professional acumen and careful attention to detail.
Wetland Services: New England Environmental, Inc. has
developed a broad array of capabilities based on the evolution of our business
experience, the education and expertise of individual staff members, and the
interests each staff member continues to pursue.
Since we come from an assortment of backgrounds, our individual and mutual
interests are diverse indeed. Included in these are bird identification
and habitat analysis, water quantity and quality dynamics, fishing and fisheries
habitat characteristics, bioengineering, and meticulous attention to difficult
botanical topics such as specific identification of sedges and mosses.
NEE offers applications of wetland science in such areas as clean-up of bio-wastes
and contaminated site remediation using constructed wetlands, and has the capacity
to apply GPS (Global Positioning System) technology to assessment and mapping
of wetlands and other natural resources at a small fraction of the cost of conventional
survey.
Licensed Site Professional Services: NEE offers Licensed
Site Professional (LSP) services for the assessment, remediation, and monitoring
of contaminated soil, groundwater, and indoor air.
We supervise the removal of underground storage tanks, the closure
of underground injection wells, the excavation and disposal/recycling
of contaminated soil, and the implementation of numerous types of remediation
activities working toward the closure of hazardous waste sites, large
and small, across the region. We have experience with Brownfields
investigation and remediation, and offer state-specific assessment and
closure services to assist both private and government clients across New England.
Hydrogeology: NEE provides in-house computer modeling
services for groundwater flow models, contaminant transport models,
and septic mounding analyses.
We perform water supply investigations and permitting for public water supply
wells and new source approvals. Our staff has experience with routine public
water supply sampling and monthly reporting.
NEE prepares groundwater discharge permit applications and provides monitoring
services once they are granted.
