NEE Restoration Group Intern Job Description -2011
The role of the Restoration Group Intern is to execute the physical tasks and fieldactivities associated with projects according to the project job requirements. TheRestoration Group Intern will participate in the implement all project tasks as directed byRestoration Specialists and the Senior Restoration Specialist.
NEE will be offering this internship starting at the beginning June 6 through August 12, a10 week period. This is considered a temporary, full time position. Because of thenature of this position, the work schedule is irregular and may include some evening andweekend hours. Normal business hours are between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work will beprimarily in the field and will include work in all weather conditions. Some office work may also be required.
NEE will be offering a stipend of $2,500 for this internship. For any work in whichyou are required to use your own vehicle for company work, you will be reimbursed fortravel miles at the rate is set each year by the Federal Government. If your workrequires you to stay overnight away from home, NEE will provide pay for overnightaccommodations, and reimburse you (currently $30.00/day per diem) to cover the costof breakfast and dinner.
The internship requires occasional travel in order to complete restoration projects throughout the Northeast. The Restoration Group Intern must have a valid driver?s license, and must be able to conduct physically challenging activities in all weatherconditions.

Position Requirements
- Completion of sophomore or junior year of college

NEE Hydro-Remediation Group Intern Job Description -2011
New England Environmental Inc. (NEE) is seeking an intern to assist with work beingconducted under the guidance of staff in the Hydro-Remediation Division. We are considering students having a minimum of a Bachelor?s Degree or working toward this degree having a broad range of interests. NEE?s Hydro-Remediation Departmentprovides a number of services to clients including environmental site assessments,sampling of environmental media (soil, sediments, indoor air, and groundwater), soilborings and monitoring well installation, construction oversight related to contaminatedsoil, and site inspections to maintain active remediation systems. As an intern, you would be required to work on any number of projects that may provide the aforementioned services.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
Candidate should have completed sophomore or junior year of college in a naturalscience or engineering field such as environmental engineering, geology, biology, environmental science, or chemistry. Applicants must have completed the OSHA 40hour HAZWOPER training, and preferably be current with their 8-hour annual refresherin order to do field work. Applicants should have excellent organizational, writing andspeaking skills; have a working knowledge of computer and basic software programs;and be enthusiastic, self motivated, and optimistic. Must be able to communicate andwork with a diverse audience, and work independently as well as a member of a team.Candidates must also be available and willing to travel away from home at times,depending on work schedules. The candidate must also be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
