New England Environmental Inc. (NEE) offers expertise in environmental permitting and ecological restoration services to golf course superintendents, greens-keepers, landscape architects and golf course construction companies throughout New England. NEE staff providesassistance to clients in complex wetland compliance issues, environmental restoration, bank stabilization, and pond management.
NEE has full time staff that specializes in ecological restoration projects, and the use of native plant materials, erosion control products, such as bioengineering materials, and the correct installation of the plants and materials. Bioengineering, also known as “soft engineering” is a technique that uses native plant materials and erosion control products to stabilize eroding slopes, waterways, and banks. These techniques are used as an alternative to stone rip-rap, stone gabion baskets, concrete, or other “hard” engineering techniques. NEE has employed bioengineering on numerous golf courses.
From algae removal, water clarification or nutrient removal, NEE has an appropriate solution to manage all sizes of lakes, ponds and water hazards on golf courses.
